Raleigh Branch Manager Bill Sewell has 30 years of experience partnering with investors and Financial Advisors to help them achieve their goals. After graduating from the University of Mississippi, Bill joined Merrill Lynch in 1980.  In March 1983, he was instrumental in opening an office for E.F. Hutton and became a Branch Manager with E.F. Hutton soon after.  He remained with that firm for more than 27 years as it transformed into Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.  Over the course of his 27 year career there he served three terms on the firm’s Branch Manager Council and was honored in 2007 to be named as one of On Wall Street Magazine’s Top 100 Branch Managers nationwide.  Bill joined Baird in May, 2010 to open the Raleigh office.

Bill has lived in Raleigh since 1993 with his wife and four sons.  He has given his time, talents and resources to the Boy Scouts of America, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, A.E. Finley YMCA, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Special Olympics North Carolina. Baird and the rest of our Raleigh management team shares Bill’s commitment to the Raleigh community.

Judie Meriweather began her career in the financial services industry with The Robinson-Humphrey Company in 1985.  She worked at the firm for 25 years as it went through a series of mergers and acquisition which resulted in the creation of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.  She joined Baird in May, 2010 to help open our Raleigh, NC office.  She is looking forward to utilizing her 25 years of experience working with the other members of the management team to build a strong presence in Raleigh.  Her industry licenses include the Series 7, 9, 10, 31, 63 and 66.  Judie was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan.  She has lived in Ohio and Illinois prior to moving to Raleigh in 1982.  She enjoys golf, tennis and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Jolene Miles

Jolene started her career in the financial services industry with The Robinson-Humphrey Company in February 1986.  Over the course of her 24 years with that firm it underwent a series of changes that resulted in the creation of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.  In May, 2010, she joined Baird to help grow the Raleigh Office.   Jolene has obtained the Series 7, 63, 65, 66, 8, & 31 industry licenses.  She supports the Branch Manager and Financial Advisors and staff by understanding the nature of our business, the products and services that we offer and providing operational support and training.  She is involved in overseeing cashiering and order flow, new account processing and ensuring that we’re following firm and regulatory policies.   Jolene and her husband, Mike, moved to Cary, NC in 1985 from Indiana.  They have two children, Jordi and Karli.
